I designed a ballet skirt that is significantly different than others on the market because of it's fit and movement. The design of the skirt and the fabric patterns are unique and no one else in the world has this distinction.
The patent process was an amazing look into what some people do on a daily basis. Having never applied for a patent before, this is a good way to show dancers and other artists that we need to protect our creations.
Ballet dancers were the primary focus of the designing of this skirt. After the design was taken to the production level, I found that lyrical, tap, jazz, hip hop, belly dancing, and liturgical dancers wear and enjoy the skirt. The design enhances the movement of your body.
The skirt is manufactured in three lengths- ballet, knee length, and long. It is also used by non-dancers, such as swimmers and vacationers for alternative fashion.
